Interpreter cum Customer Support Executive (Work from Home) Job Descriptions

Summary of the Position:

The main task of the interpreter is handling professional calls (e.g insurance, legal, utilities, etc.) on-demand and rendering the conversation's meaning for both English and Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic, Karen, Sorani OR Laotian delegates. This role involves complex and technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business.

Responsibilities:

  • Convey proper and accurate meaning from the source with proper clarity, tone, syntax and grammar for both English and Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic, Karen, Sorani OR Laotian.
  • Interpret with the highest degree of accuracy and completeness in consecutive, simultaneous and sight translation modes. 

Requirements:

  • Candidates must at least possess a SPM
  • Proficiency in both English and Cantonese, Mandarin, Arabic, Karen, Sorani OR Laotian (Speak, Read & Write)
  • JELA score of at least 30/40

Location: This is a fully remote position, and you are expected to WORK FROM HOME.

Working Hours:

  • 9 hours per day (including a 1-hour break)
  • 5 nights per week
  • Based on the US Time Zone - Start anytime between 9 pm-1 am (E.g Start at 10 pm and end at 7 am)
